Prototype Ver 2.0

Presented at the Turning Southern Style XIV Symposium Unicoi State Park Sept 2008. The bottom mounting plate has been enlarged signigicantly. The main crank handle has been repositioned much closer to the workpiece.

Good view of double lead screw assembly. The cutting frame is now extremely rigid giving an excellent cut.

Fly Cutter

Your Modern Rose kit includes various cutters including the

fly cutter shown here. It also includes cutters using triangular

and diamond insert long life carbide cutters common in the

metal working industry.

Face Plate Work

Great for the bottom of a plate, bowl, platter, or the top of a box.

Very Small Detail

Great for Round Lidded Boxes or the foot of a bowl.

Zircote

Another sample piece actually cut on the prototype.

Sample Cams

The Modern Rose Conversion Kit will come with various

cams. We haven't determined the exact number yet, but it will

probably be between 20 - 25.
